Maria de Lurdes Dolzani de Castro, also known as Daisy or even Miss Cyclone, was studying to become a teacher and because of her involvement within the circle of modernist artists, she became the main star of a collective book written at the studio Oswald de Andrade had downtown. The book titled “The perfect cook for the souls of this world” was written as a journal featuring the daily life of the people gathered at the studio.
Daisy was married to Oswald in the last moments of her very short life. She passed away in 1919 and was later celebrated in Victor Brecheret’s work.
