Contemporary Brazilian photographer, Valdir Cruz devotes a lot of his time to studying the processes of photography printing. The strength of his work lies in portraying the people, the culture and the landscapes of Brazil. Valdir often says he has never photographed someone who was not the spiritual subject of his photos, and that he’s always looking for direct contact with his sitters, establishing bonds of friendship and trust with them.
