The colors and the wind
Anita Malfatti was one of the main modernist painters in Brazil.
In 1915, she wanted to paint something completely different!
She wanted to portray the wind!
Wait a moment, how did she do that if the wind is invisible
Take a good look at “The Wind”.
Can you see the wind?
It comes in different colors of the sky, that she painted in many directions, with straight, curved, up, back and forth lines!
The strong wind even bent the tree branches!
Let’s create our own Wind?
You will need:
Colorful yarn, scissors, glue and paper card!
Try to recreate the wind’s movement gluing the colored threads to the paper.
Remember that wind can make the lines go in all sorts of directions!
